Collage Architecture Studio was founded in 2009, ideated a year ago by the three apostles, we have voyaged through different oceans of challenges and cohesively evolved into a multi-disciplinary studio. The domain of our projects ranges from Architectural, residential, interiors, commercial and multi-level Housing Ventures.

As a firm, we believe every project is unique and the winds of change are gearing for a switch. Our enthusiasm and love for design is perceived by understanding client requirements and delivering them to the absolute along with the passion that we possess for each stroke and detail that goes on the paper.

The three founders of Collage Architecture Studio – Swapnil Valvatkar, Adwitha Suvarna and Arunkumar Deivanayagam ideated the firm in 2008, having worked at Chandravarkar & Thacker Architects and later at Mindspace architects, the trio strives to create an architectural vocabulary that encompasses diverse aspects of design under a simple parasol by acclimating to the contemporary solutions with innovation.

Design Philosophy

Design depths are often complexly defined and emerge from perspectives but a pristine design beholds a unified outlook despite the diversity of its origin, such designs, rather are impeccable and true to its simplest form, serves and projects its objective, and its flexibility.

Architecture has plenty of definition and theories, some are postulates and many are derived perceptions of practice. One can simply put aside all complexities and design through context by responding to micro and macro factors that participate in the immediate frame of reference, it is generally the process and approach that determines the outcome of design.

At Collage architecture studio, we strive to bring out the best through these fundamentals, tweaking it further with contemporary innovation to produce a peerless design. We capture the anomalies through details and transcend to the ideal solution, by integrating it with creativity and innovation. Through all these years, we have learnt that architecture is a matter of transformation. Transformation of perspectives, ideas and thoughts that can help us improve, grow and create spaces that become timeless.

Swapnil Valvatkar

Alumni of Goa School of Architecture, Batch of 1996, Swapnil strives to simplify complexities in design by responding to the context, site and fundamentals of design. His functional approach often brings up perspectives that are unexplored and encourages a twist for innovation.

Adwitha Suvarna

Alumni of Bangalore Institute of Technology, batch of 1997. Adwitha is free-spirited and a realist. Her forte is absolute deliverance of an idea envisaged. She has come a long way, as a person as well as an architect. Her journey through design has been filled with new learning and challenges that she faced as a woman in the field of architecture. She has an eye for composition and innovation in her designs, every piece of element in design has a story and the narration can be brought out through composition. She is brave in her approach and has a knack for design experimentation.

Arunkumar Deivanayagam

Alumni of Goa School of Architecture, Batch of 1996, Arun has a passion for architecture and love for Photography and short film creatives. He is a practical thinker and strives to conceptualize designs through details and perspective before it goes on paper. Designs are creative processes and they are often filled with minute features that play an essential role in the over-all picture, Arun brings out this delicate relationship of built-unbuilt in his design processes.
